I joined reputable ship management in Limassol (Cyprus) Cyprus as a management trainee after completing my master's degree study in the UK, where I had the opportunity to be trained, learn, and have experiences in the business world during my early and beginning of career:

  Oct 1989 to May 1990 as Management Trainee & Deputy Head of Representative
  Upon completion of my study in Plymouth (UK), I joined the Hanseatic Shipping Company (now Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement), a leading ship management services company based in Limassol (Cyprus). I spent three months in Limassol (Cyprus) as a management trainee and was trained in all divisions of a ship crewing business. I was then transferred to their representative office in Jakarta.

• Buyers Consolidator Ltd (Sealand Logistics)
  Jun 1990 - Dec 1994 as Country Manager Indonesia
  The second company I joined was Buyers Consolidators Ltd./ Sealand Logistics (Hong Kong), a pioneer and leading cargo consolidators/supply chain management (SCM) company from Asia. At this company, I held the highest rank as country manager in Indonesia. Fortunately, I had the best mentor (my regional manager), who taught me a lot and allowed me to run the business independently.

  Jan 1995 - May 1996 as Founder & Director
  My third company was PT. Ayarindo Transnusa was an international freight forwarding/ cargo logistics management company with an office in Jakarta. This is the company that I was a co-owner. It gave me a very valuable, expensive and eye-opening experience on how hard it was to establish and run a business from scratch. From that point onward, lessons were learnt and remembered.
